SPRING-SUMMER 2010 AUTUMN-WINTER 2009/2010 SPRING-SUMMER 2009 AUTUMN-WINTER 2008/2009 ![]() Copyright © White Trumpet (2009) | quarks up / quarks downFor his radical AW 09/10 collection, designer Reno Inchenko drew his inspiration from the LHC machine – aka Large Hadron Collider – the world’s most powerful particle accelerator, meant to recreate the birth of the universe. Linking fashion and science, White Trumpet’s collection makes a strong retro-futuristic statement, featuring influences from the 60’s. Inchenko’s vision translates into a series of see-through garments that can be combined indefinitely by playing with layering: cages on tight dresses, oversized T-shirts on tutus. Industrial hues of black, blue, white and silver refer directly to the machine. The use of materials such as elastic, fake fur and mirror sequins highlight the sensuality of this somewhat androgynous collection. The brand’s signature geometric shapes – circles and triangles – are cut out from jersey T-shirts and dresses – a reminder of the atom’s essential emptiness. | ||||||
